The testMode parameter is *not* a replacement for
mds.test.datacite.org which is still mentioned on [1] which can be
reached from the main page at the end of the "Services" tab.  From
what I read, testMode is just an additional layer for testing,
however, without any effect on the database while using the API on
mds.test.datacite.org will make changes in the test database.
