[EP-tech] Re: indexer troubles (Massimo Gessa)

Massimo,

I think it means archive, inbox, etc (http://wiki.eprints.org/w/API:EPrints/DataSet). I think you mostly care about archive which are the publicly available eprints.

Try it, I think it'll work.

I'm sure about that! i've tryed to manually reindex single documents and it helped.
I'm planning to put the reindex in cron but the point now is in usage of /bin/epadmin reindex.

it ask for parameters:

epadmin reindex *repository_id* *dataset_id* [*eprint_id* *eprint_id*
    ...]

ok about *repository_id* i know it, but what about *dataset_id*???

where should i find it?

Hi Massimo,

Have you tried to recreate indices? Try:

$./bin/epadmin reindex

and see if that helps.

George.

Massimo,

Sorry, I forgot to write that you have to also declare your
repository-id in your epadmin command, hence something like that:

$./bin/epadmin reindex yourepoid

Hi George

As Alan mentioned, adding fields to abstract pages is covered.

Adding new fields to search results is all about citation styles, and those haven't been covered.  I've added it to my list of things to do training videos on.
