[EP-tech] Re: EPrints as a dedicated data repository

Hi Andrew,

We're hosting/implementing 10 dedicated data repositories. I'd be happy to talk about the technical aspects of our approach to these.

In terms of the organisational/geo-political/macro-economic issues, then Steve Grace (LSBU nee UEL http://www.dcc.ac.uk/resources/developing-rdm-services/using-eprints-build-repository-uel , http://www.dcc.ac.uk/sites/default/files/documents/events/RDMF12/04%20grace%20RDMF%2020141118.pdf) and Gareth Knight (LSHTM http://blogs.lshtm.ac.uk/rdmss/author/alibgkni/) are very well versed and have even convened the London Area Research Data (yes LARD) group to provide peer support on the issue. Though I realise that it would be stretching to suggest that Lincoln is in the London area.

Cheers,

Rory

Subject: [EP-tech] EPrints as a dedicated data repository

Hello all! We’re currently looking at solutions to better expose our research datasets and are currently encouraging deposit into EPrints. However, we are aware that there are a number of EPrints users leveraging a dedicated install for JUST data; are there any case studies out there we can take a look at or is anyone willing to share their findings?

Thanks!

Andrew
