[EP-tech] Eprints and OpenAire

Hi,

in OpenAire's December newsletter, they mentioned that an implementation of the new OpenAire guidelines V4.0 should happen in the next few months for EPrints:
https://emea01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.openaire.eu%2Fopenaire-guidelines-for-literature-repository-managers-v-4-0-are-now-available&data=01%7C01%7Ceprints-tech%40ecs.soton.ac.uk%7C79615cd799954e511b7908d6763f5331%7C4a5378f929f44d3ebe89669d03ada9d8%7C1&sdata=MIgw6HbfY%2BD6TuH5d%2FzvnvCmVy95UCCbk3MH5I36MyE%3D&reserved=0

I'm waiting for news on this before changing the OpenAire configuration in our repository and just hope that the implementation will be available soon.

Best wishes,
Verena

Yes, indeed you are right. The code for this is on GitHub under the
Eprints User Group: https://emea01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Feprintsug%2Fopenaire-compliance&data=01%7C01%7Ceprints-tech%40ecs.soton.ac.uk%7C79615cd799954e511b7908d6763f5331%7C4a5378f929f44d3ebe89669d03ada9d8%7C1&sdata=Ma4lIp40uj615dB%2Bk8cmAUoemtORnXE4UhLHLMe8Ffs%3D&reserved=0 .
However, there is a fork from this which is newer:
https://emea01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Forazionelson%2Fopenaire-compliance&data=01%7C01%7Ceprints-tech%40ecs.soton.ac.uk%7C79615cd799954e511b7908d6763f5331%7C4a5378f929f44d3ebe89669d03ada9d8%7C1&sdata=r%2FLXFHOG9hszoEy9kh%2BbnRA5Lzs7GHk6er4%2FEwv69%2FQ%3D&reserved=0 .

To the list: Is there any reason not to update the official EPrints UG
repository?

Best regards,
Philipp

That's the biggest problem, the bazaar point to old software not updated
and nobody knows where is the update one. So less people uses Eprints
because thinks it uses older software/implementations.
