Re: [EP-tech] Tim Miles-Board

Very sad news.

Tim was creative, dedicated, courageous, and deserved many more years.

In the lineage of eprints developers that began with Matt Hemus, then Rob Tansley, then Chris Gutteridge, Tim, made an enormous and long-lasting contribution.

I would like to express to his family and friends my gratitude for all his work and my condolences for his tragic loss.

Verba volant, numera manent.

Too true! Very sorry to hear this news but definitely want to add a “hear hear” to the above statement.

Sad times indeed.

Tim was one of the first people I met when I started my EPrints journey.
His clarity of thought and ability to explain the strange world of EPrints was both engaging and inspiring.

Tim: in your code, you live on.

Hello everyone,

I am sorry to inform you that Tim passed away yesterday morning. He had been very sick and fought bravely, with optimism, until the end.

For over 10 years, Tim had made huge contributions to EPrints and open access and it's fair to say that they wouldn't be quite the same without him. He was an inspiration and influence to many of us.

I invite you all to raise a glass in his memory,

Seb
