Re: [EP-tech] Tim Miles-Board

Very sad news. I've only been working with EPrints for just over three years, but Tim was always one if the names that came up in lists of expert developers, and I was always very pleased to have spoken with him at events and made use of that expertise.

“in your code, you live on”

Too true! Very sorry to hear this news but definitely want to add a “hear hear” to the above statement.

Sad times indeed.

Tim was one of the first people I met when I started my EPrints journey.

His clarity of thought and ability to explain the strange world of EPrints was both engaging and inspiring.

Tim: in your code, you live on.

Hello everyone,

I am sorry to inform you that Tim passed away yesterday morning. He had been very sick and fought bravely, with optimism, until the end.

For over 10 years, Tim had made huge contributions to EPrints and open access and it's fair to say that they wouldn't be quite the same without him. He was an inspiration and influence to many of us.

I invite you all to raise a glass in his memory,

Seb
