[EP-tech] Antwort: Re: upgrading IRStats to IRStats2

Dear Matthew,

this is from our last nightly IRStats2 process_stats log, it might give you
an estimate of how long a full statistics evaluation would run:

Access: it took 117 secs to parse 5665 records ( average = 48.42
records/sec )
Access: 3071 records kept out of 5665 ( ratio = 54.21% )

I can't comment on your initial question, though. No experience here with

(Idea: I would try to compare the irstats2_* and irstats_* database tables
on a small test repo to find out whether the old irstats tables could be

I should also note that our ?access? table is multiple jiggle-bytes in
size, with hundreds of millions of records, so we?re not overly keen on
running a full IRStats regen. We?re currently working on strategies to
archive old records from the access table.

Subject: upgrading IRStats to IRStats2

Hi folks, sorry if this has been covered elsewhere but I haven?t seen
mention of it. One of our repositories was recently updated to 3.3, however
we?re still running the old IRStats (v1). We?re eager to update to
IRStats2, however we?re not sure what process to go through, nor what risks
are involved.

Is there any advice on upgrading IRStats to IRStats2?
