[EP-tech] Season's greetings from EPrints

Dear All,

Our best wishes to all of the EPrints community from the EPrints
developers in the University of Southampton.

2013 will see the arrival of version 4 of EPrints. With v4 we're
planning to:

 - improved integration with 3rd party databases (Web of Science etc.)
for validating contents and inter-linking

 - improving support for University administrators through CRIS and
tracking of projects, funders etc.

 - migrating from Prototype.js to JQuery, with general improvements to
look and feel

 - development will move to Github, so those technically minded can have
more direct involvement in core development

Also expect the arrival of "IRStats 2"!

We're on vacation from the 21st December-1st January inclusive, so  will
only be responding to enquiries in the new year.
