I don't have the expertise to know,
so headed to Repository.pm to look at the plain old documentation, and
saw get_language, get_lang, get_langid, get_session_language, and
best_language ....

get_lang most simply fetches the lang attribute,
however get_session_language is more considerate to what may be the
language of the current session, so may be the best substitute to
update the wiki with.

A quick search of current_lang in the wiki yields pages on EPScript as
you say:

Hi!

Can someone update the Wiki for Repository?

It  has $repo->current_language listed but newer versions have
$repo->lang instead (don't know when this changed). Wasn't it
current_lang at some point?  Or is that just in EPScript??
