[EP-tech] CORE Recommender Plugin URLs

Hi everyone,

There was some discussion on this list earlier in the year about the CORE recommender not working, then being fixed.

We noticed a few weeks ago that it wasn't working for us. Not even loading the unavailable message; just a box on the eprint records with nothing in it. I'm not totally sure what's happening, but CORE seems to have removed the original CSS and JS links used in the eprints plugin.

Old URLs giving 404:
https://core.ac.uk/recommender/embed-eprints-style.css
https://core.ac.uk/recommender/embed.js

This url contains the embed.js:

https://core.ac.uk/recommender-plugin/embed.js

I switched the relevant line in:

[eprints root dir]//lib/plugins/EPrints/Plugin/Screen/EPrint/Box/CoreRecommender.pm

To use the new embed.js url and it has come back to life. Pinched it from the LJMU eprints because their plugin was working. I know I should have done a local copy of the file and I probably will eventually (lazy, busy etc).

Just wanted to mention it. I have not been able to find any documentation from CORE detailing this change so perhaps it is not a permanent change.
