[EP-tech] Changes to eprints-tech mailing list

Hi all,

Recently the server hosting the eprints-tech@ecs.soton.ac.uk mailing list (i.e. this list) was migrated to a new server that runs slightly different software to the old server.  To that end, I have created a new wiki page for the mailing list to provide advice on how to subscribe, unsubscribe and otherwise manage your subscription to this list, as these processes has changed.

https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwiki.eprints.org%2Fw%2FEprints-tech_Mailing_List&data=05%7C01%7Ceprints-tech%40ecs.soton.ac.uk%7C039ae09f25744ee1387308dba564cf3d%7C4a5378f929f44d3ebe89669d03ada9d8%7C0%7C0%7C638285624625747519%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=xxtiyslGC43KL9FDfaRMnmou6EoYgF0kWkW0tTI3yqM%3D&reserved=0

One current issue is that the list archives at https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.eprints.org%2Feptech%2F&data=05%7C01%7Ceprints-tech%40ecs.soton.ac.uk%7C039ae09f25744ee1387308dba564cf3d%7C4a5378f929f44d3ebe89669d03ada9d8%7C0%7C0%7C638285624625747519%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=2aQIqmALoQ4n%2BsgQGb77UmwZGtCeplB17LbgHMzxvVI%3D&reserved=0 are no longer being updated and the archives at https://mailman.ecs.soton.ac.uk/pipermail/eprints-tech/ are not longer available.

I am not responsible for maintaining the mailing list server but I have been working closely with the people who are to try to make sure up-to-date archives are available ASAP.  These will likely be on a new link, which I will confirm once it is active. (I will also update the footer template used on list messages with this new link). To be clear, the archives still exist but are no longer currently publicly accessible.  So once this new link is active you will be able to access all messages from this list going back as far as February 2012.

Regards

David Newman
