[EP-tech] OpenAIRE Export Plugin -

CAUTION: This e-mail originated outside the University of Southampton.
I have written a beta version of an export plugin for OpenAIRE, (Guidelines for Literature Repositories v4):
https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Fphotomedia%2FEPrintsOpenAIRE&data=04%7C01%7Ceprints-tech%40ecs.soton.ac.uk%7C7809a2f2683b4d596ea108d8d4f63588%7C4a5378f929f44d3ebe89669d03ada9d8%7C0%7C0%7C637493501213432036%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=%2FDZ5NlWAQv5P%2FTK63VpIUmJPp2puX1ho%2Fw5buLV08oU%3D&reserved=0

The current version of this exports the Mandatory fields, and some Recommended fields (Funders, Subject Keywords).
I have used this plugin to successfully validate our repository with OpenAIRE, and we are now harvested by OpenAIRE as a result. This work was part of my participation in the Canadian Association of Research Libraries Open Repositories Working Group project with OpenAIRE Advance (https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.carl-abrc.ca%2Fadvancing-research%2Finstitutional-repositories%2Fopen-repositories-working-group%2Fopenaire-project%2F%3Fcn-reloaded%3D1&data=04%7C01%7Ceprints-tech%40ecs.soton.ac.uk%7C7809a2f2683b4d596ea108d8d4f63588%7C4a5378f929f44d3ebe89669d03ada9d8%7C0%7C0%7C637493501213432036%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=fMKbxba1TWjspfTmIZ%2FKFCZhqrVSdG5ALFSy5u1hbbE%3D&reserved=0)

I am writing about this because ideally, I would like to see an OpenAIRE plugin hosted and maintained by eprintsug. There is an "OpenAIRE Compliance" plugin already in eprintsug (https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Feprintsug%2Fopenaire-compliance&data=04%7C01%7Ceprints-tech%40ecs.soton.ac.uk%7C7809a2f2683b4d596ea108d8d4f63588%7C4a5378f929f44d3ebe89669d03ada9d8%7C0%7C0%7C637493501213432036%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=kUbHgcgfvobIcbE8WWigH6ynQZUflUNp6SlyfEX9LXg%3D&reserved=0), but it seemed very out of date and not working in a way in which it would be compatible with the Guidelines for Literature Repositories V4 (https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fopenaire-guidelines-for-literature-repository-managers.readthedocs.io%2Fen%2Fv4.0.0%2Fapplication_profile.html&data=04%7C01%7Ceprints-tech%40ecs.soton.ac.uk%7C7809a2f2683b4d596ea108d8d4f63588%7C4a5378f929f44d3ebe89669d03ada9d8%7C0%7C0%7C637493501213432036%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=PbrH%2BvV9wUAXno7xm5OV6isyj9QFfQHQ5HTMfycP8K4%3D&reserved=0), so I didn't use it.

I am writing to see if my version of the plugin could/should be moved to eprintsug (and possibly merging anything useful from the older "compliance" plugin into it)? I suppose that the next steps will include making a bazaar plugin for this, and perhaps moving some of the mappings into a CFG file, so that it is easier to tweak for local contexts.

Let me know your thoughts on that, thank you!

Tomasz
