[EP-tech] Antwort: Retroactively populating ORCID and Researcherid

Hi Karl,

there are two options:
- the BatchEdit tool improved by Peter West (and commissioned by us) to work with multi-fields such as the creators field. See https://github.com/eprintsug/batchedit-extended
- however, ORCID recommends to use authenticated iDs only. In the ORCID Tier2 plugin by Peter West that we use, we had let implement a tab so that authors (or a delegated user) can tag their publications with their ORCID iD. Please contact Peter West for details.

Best regards,

Martin

Hi,

I’ve had a request to update several fields including ORCID and Researcherid for an academic who’s ORCID ID is only on ~10% of their contributions.

Before I do something dangerous in the DB I’m wondering if there is an existing tool which can be used to bulk update those fields from CLI instead.

Thanks,
Karl.
