Archive = live – available for the world to see

Buffer = review (after deposit, before live)

Deletion = deleted (but restorable, as opposed to completely removed from the system)

Inbox = user work area, when initially created, before deposit

Hello all!

 

I’ve had a question from our databases team, who are currently interrogating EPrints at a database level, regarding the status field in EPrints with the values Archive, Buffer, Deletion and Inbox. In particular they were questioning the buffer status – I said I believe that this represents records that have been submitted but not moved into the live archive yet – am I right? (do I win a prize?)
