[EP-tech] Antwort: Re: Faceted Search, EPrints, Xapian

Dear John,

thank you. I took the one from github, but it's the one you can find in a fresh 3.3.13-tar-ball of eprints. We use 3.3.13, already have xapian and use it in our simple search.
We just need a instruction how to implement faceted search... anybody else?

I’m not sure if this was taken into the EPrints core:

To enable it, you need a perl Xapian binding – see the brief notes here: http://wiki.eprints.org/w/New_Features_in_EPrints_3.3#Search_engine_plugins
 
There are also some RPMs here: http://rpm.eprints.org/ (in the ‘xapian’ directory), but I’m guessing they haven’t been updated for a while…
 
Does that help at all – or did you know all that already?!

Does anybody now where and how?
