Seb, That looks like the problem I have been having.... but I had updated to Prototype 1.7.1 at work after Tommy's first email...  (I'm home now playing on yet another dev box for a little Friday night fun).
I had also updated to 1.7.1 at home, and no go.... I think maybe i was suffering the same as John... "Too many repos and not enough cache clearing." Since its now all working....

No idea why it didnt want to play correctly at work, I tried 3 different browsers on 2 additional machines (while consulting with colleagues) and the for.each issue presented itself each time ...(different wording in each browser though)
and they were all systems that had never talked to the dev box to have had anything cached....   Either way, its now functional on one system, so I know 'm not going crazy....

I had originally followed the install notes.. (https://raw.github.com/eprints/irstats2/db02d5cca9781f29765f9750d5f70f859e6f9c1e/INSTALL) and put the <!-- IRSTATS2 --> block into the <head> as instructed in (4)....

I have found that the z_irstats2.pl file also contains a block of code to insert that as well, so my <head> section had 2 <script> blocks to pull in the google visualization packages....
one before the auto-3.3.10.js call, and one after... unsure if that would make any difference at all, but will find out when i get back to work on Monday...
