[EP-tech] IRStats2 Filtering

Hi All,

I am wanting to experiment with filtering some of the stats being displayed, to generate some new reports, that can be used as landing pages, without user interaction..

Currently, IRStats (Vanilla install) will display a grid at the bottom, with two tables...
Most downloaded items and Top Authors (eg http://authors.library.caltech.edu/cgi/stats/report/)

I am interested in filtering the types of items in the most downloaded items table...
to either a) exclude certain item types or b) include only certain types.
preferably without having to hack the .pm files too much :).

This data could then be used to create separate reports for each type/group of types...

Has anyone completed anything like this? Or know how it could/should be done...
