[EP-tech] Re: Eprints REF2014 - 1.3

Hi David,

Perhaps you need to :

(1) create a benchmark (Manage records > REF Benchmarks > ... )
(2) give yourself the role "ref/select" (Profile > Edit > Roles)
(3) affiliate your account with a UoA (Profile > REF Staff Information > UoA)

Could you give this a try (or let me know if you have done this already)?

Kind regards,
Seb

Hi Seb,

thanks for getting back to me and of course, as I said before "the REF2014 link that should appear does not". What I mean by this is the link to the REF screen itself does not appear with all the others i.e. "Manage deposits", "Profile" etc etc. I did also try to manually go to the REF screen with the address "cgi/users/home?screen=REF::Overview" like on the dev box running on 1.2.2 of the REF2014 plugin but it just gives me the message "You may not view this screen REF::Overview". This is on a clean install of 3.3 and 1.3 plugin, Hope this helps,

Kind regards,

David Whitehead.

Hi David,

Could you extend on "the plugin itself is not working" please?

Seb.

Hi All,

Can i ask if anyone is having an issue with the REF2014 1.3 plugin, to double check its not just aware version of EPrints conflicting I am installing a fresh EPrints 3.3 and then installing the REF2014 1.3 from bazaar in the admin panel. The plugin itself is not working and the REF2014 link that should appear does not, but when I originally did this same process two weeks ago on a different machine and it was REF2014 1.2.2 everything worked as it should.

I know the REF2014 1.3 was only pushed out on 27th Feb which is why i was wondering if something has been pushed wrong, i have not tried to upgrade from 1.2.2 to 1.3 yet so i am unsure as to if that will work.

Its almost like for some reason its not fully enabling the plugin even after disabling re enabling etc etc.

Kind regards,

David Whitehead.
