[EP-tech] Warning MYSQL_OPT_RECONNECT

CAUTION: This e-mail originated outside the University of Southampton.

Hello everyone,

Since the latest update of Oracle Linux 9 server, I keep seeing the following warning repeatedly in my logs:

WARNING: MYSQL_OPT_RECONNECT is deprecated and will be removed in a future version.

I’m using EPrints version 3.4.5, and although everything works fine, my logs are now flooded with thousands of these messages, making it difficult to monitor other issues. I’ve tried several tricks to suppress this warning, but nothing seems to work.

Has anyone found a reliable way to remove or silence this warning? Any advice or workaround would be greatly appreciated.
