Re: [EP-tech] User roles

I think you need the user namedset:

https://github.com/eprints/eprints/blob/3.3/lib/defaultcfg/namedsets/user

Add it to that, and you’ll get it as an option in the user workflow.

Subject: [EP-tech] User roles

Hello all,

I’m trying to manage some login bits and bobs on my new EPrints installation, specifically creating a new user class for “localadmin” with the same admin rights that I would normally apply to my LDAP users. I’ve created the new class in user_roles.pl however I’m not getting an option to give that class to a new user when I create it through epadmin/create_user. The class itself works when I assign it to a local user through database manipulation but this isn’t a long term solution; I’m sure there’s a step I’m missing somewhere but I’m not sure where – any thoughts are appreciated!

Andrew
