[EP-tech] Re: comma before authors name - eprints 3.3

Funnily enough I'm just wrestling with the exact same thing.

I've got this far:
1. ~/perl_lib/EPrints/Repository.pm => 'render_name'
2. ~/perl_lib/EPrints/Utils.pm => 'make_name_string'

Just about to sort through the logic - we're using the term 'given' as a whole name if we can 't sensibly split it up into family/firstname/initials etc.

If I get it working before you do, I'll let you know!
Cheers,
John

Subject: [EP-tech] comma before authors name - eprints 3.3

Hi All,

I am sure this will be a simple answer but I just cannot find it for the life of me. For some reason all views in creators have the comma before the entire name instead of separating the given and family name. This is also causing issues when editing an EPrint as its not putting the given and family name in the box, its only putting the family name due to the comma being in the wrong place. I was wondering if anyone knows where the file is that I need to edit to change this. I have been looking through the cfg/cfg.d/view.pl file but cannot see the reason it is generating the comma before the names. Any help you could give would be amazing thanks very much,

Kind regards,

David Whitehead.
