EPrints for Administrators

This course is a one day trainer-led offering which is run regularly from the University of Southampton.  As well as giving the opportunity to work hand-ons with EPrints software this course facilitates networking with other repository staff, access to multiple EPrints Services technical staff and opportunity to raise questions directly with key University of Southampton library staff involved in day-to-day running of EPrints.  The next available course date will be listed on our main Training page.

Overview
The purpose of the day is to provide a holistic view of the system focusing on the web interface, so Administrators are aware of their role and responsibilities within the system as well as other roles and their impact on one another.

Through demonstrations and hands-on exercises, supervised by members of the EPrints development team, attendees will become proficient in carrying out their role as the Administrator of an EPrints repository.

Pre-requisites
There are no technical pre-requisites to this course, however basic IT skills and a familiarity with web browsers are recommended.
