One of the reasons that i choose to upgrade from 3.1 to 3.2 was the
possibility to use DROID for preservation analysis.
I've installed DROID and the formatrisks package
(http://files.eprints.org/422/) but i got a fatal error:

once more, the update_pronom_puids died miserabily:

I'm told that there will be a new version of the format risks plugin tomorrow which will work with the new (v4) DROID API. All the best, Tim. Michele,
Indeed, apologies for this however DROID changed their command line API between ↵
version 3 and version 4. I recommend using version 3 (version 4 only adds ↵
functionality and does not change the way classification works). It is a good ↵
idea however to keep the latest classification file (available in version 4)
I shall be packaging up a new version which we are (as I write this) using in a ↵
training workshop, this allows me to get the errors ironed out.
The config file for this version /archive_name/cfg/cfg.d/pronom.pl contains the ↵
following 2 lines:
# DROID's invocation syntax
# DROID 3
$c->{"invocation"}->{"droid"} = '$(java) -jar ↵
$(droid) -S$(SIGFILE) -FXML -A$(SOURCE) -O$(TARGET) >/dev/null';
# DROID 4
#$c->{"invocation"}->{"droid"} = '$(java) -jar ↵
$(droid) -s$(SIGFILE) -fXML -a$(SOURCE) -o$(TARGET) >/dev/null';
uncomment the one which you wish to use.
Hopefully this should help.
I'll try and remember to send an email out when I upload a new version.
Many Thanks
Dave T
