Hi,

same problem here with:

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 (x86_64)
Apache/2.2.3
perl, v5.8.8
gdome2-0.8.0
libxml2-2.6.23
apache2-mod_perl-2.0.2
eprints-3.1.0-rc-2

and
'enable_libxml' => '0'
'enable_gdome' => '0'
in SystemSettings.pm, but changing these settings doesn't make any
difference.

There are also problems with "umlauts" in e-mails sent by EPrints - ↵
all
umlauts etc. seem to be wrong encoded utf-8, as you can see in the
attached screenshot of an email (source view) generated by
/opt/eprints3/bin/send_alerts
