This is a multi-part message in MIME format. Thanks Tim and Bas.The error is now resolved. This was indeed a case, as Bas had ↵ suggested, of system thinking there is not enough disk space.I changed the ↵ setting and it appears to be working. When one makes such changes, what is the ↵ way to make these new changes take effect? In this case I actually rebooted the ↵ system as I thought restarting httpd would not work for this case.Is there some ↵ way of shutting down and re-starting eprints alone and not the system ↵ entirely?ThanksRanju.----- Original Message -----From: Bas <eprints AT ↵ bb.go.nl>Date: Thursday, July 24, 2008 12:08 pmSubject: Re: [EP-tech] error ↵ creating new item in eprn3To: "EPrints.org Technical List" ↵ <eprints-tech AT ecs.soton.ac.uk>> *** ↵ http://www.eprints.org/tech.php/id/%3CEMEW-> ↵ k6NBxKdb3a1792553f52975e2b8b92229dada4-48885A4A.5020800%40bb.go.nl%3E> *** ↵ EPrints community wiki - http://wiki.eprints.org/> > Hi> > quite ↵ often - i think - this error is due to the system > believing that > ↵ there is no space on the drive.> For this you'd need to install it with the ↵ configure option of > --disable-diskfree> > But you can change this ↵ without having to re-install it> go into the directory ↵ {eprintsroot}/perl_lib/Eprints> and open the file SystemSettings.pm> > ↵ Change the setting disable_df to 1> > Hope it helps> Bas> > > ↵ Ranju Upadhyay schreef:> >> > Thanks everyone for help with my ↵ previous errors.I have > managed to set > > up a test instance of ↵ eprint version 3.0.5.However when I log > in and > > try to create a ↵ new item , I get errors like:> >> > "EPrint 16 has no ↵ directory set.
