Hi Chris,
Has there been any progress on the migration toolkit?
How did your migration of eprints.ecs go?
As with Joe, migration issues are hindering some of our
testing/acceptance procedures. Some issues (eg Indexing) cant be found
without having substantial data in the system.
Cheers
Matt.

I'm planning to migrate eprints.ecs soon which is a big complex eprints
set up which should help me sort out the migration toolkit.
I'm aware I've been tardy on this, but getting a less buggy version of
3.0 has been my priority.

Hello Chris.
Nice changelog for EP-3.0.1
You have any update on improvements to the migration toolkit? Anita
and I here at DLIST would love to do more EP3 testing, but the
migration scripts are just too buggy (my previous posts to the list)
and testing on a empty repository doesn't provide as much feedback, as
say a full one. :)
Not meaning to be demanding or anything, just curious.
cheers,
joe

Hi everybody! I've placed a beta of 3.0.1 on files.eprints.org.
http://files.eprints.org/245/
It's probably fine, but it's Friday. Friday the 13th, no less. I've
upgraded the server which runs demoprints3.eprints.org and
files.eprints.org and all seems well, and it passed my basic testing
harness.
It fixes a bunch of issues. Most notably it speeds up the indexer and
sorts out the bugs in full text searching.
We may make another 3.0 series release, but don't plan to make a
new-features release for some time. Please send any reports to the
list
+ive or -ive about this release. Thanks
Some of the fixes:
* Fixed slow rendering of "profile" page.
* Fixed bugs with editorial restrictions.
* Cookie values are now randomised when you logout/login again.
* Fixed bugs with full-text indexing.
* Fixed speed problems in indexer.
* Fixed incorrectly ordered subjects.
* Improved some help text.
* Added a few missing phrases.
* Fixed some spelling mistakes.
* epadmin now obeys groupid from SystemSettings
* Upload component: if there is only one document, then it is
"unrolled"
in the interface - saves a click.
* Only .xml files are now parsed in phrases directories.
* Fixed bug with 404 pages coming back blank, some of the time.
* Fixed bug where after removing a user you got taken to an
undefined
screen.
* Added some better error reporting to XML import. Now spots and
warns
if you pass v2 XML to a v3 importer.
* Improved invocation of external programs.
