I'm worried about the use of the word "retired" to identify the ↵ status of a removed item. As far as I know and have reasearched about the meaning of that word, it just does not seem right. I know I can simply change it for wahtever I like, but still want to hear your opinion about wether this is or isn't the right word to use. Also, if we all agree it is not right, to end up having a bug report in place so next versions of EPrints correct that mistake. The definitions I have found suggest to use "retired" only for people ↵ leaving jobs, or, at best, as synonim for "secluded" which does not ↵ feel exactly right either: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/retired http://dictionary.cambridge.org/define.asp?key=67519&dict=CALD&topic=retiring-and-resigning I'd like to clarify English is not my mother tongue, so I'm sure you guys out there can point me to the right direction on this. Thanks a lot. *** Options: http://mailman.ecs.soton.ac.uk/mailman/listinfo/eprints-tech *** Archive: http://www.eprints.org/tech.php/ *** EPrints community wiki: http://wiki.eprints.org/
