Eprints guys - I consider this a bug (with the underlying logic of subjects) -
what are your thoughts..?
-See recent list communication between Joseph Reeves and myself.
I'm using 3.1.1 - but I

If a subject is added (e.g. via a bulk import) that doesn't exist in the
subject tree, you cannot remove it via the editing interface.

It is displayed in the item abstract page, and also item admin page (where the
value is shown as '??Subject.Code??').
If you go into the item and edit it, the erroneous entry is not rendered and
therefore cannot be removed by a web-based user.

Hope this makes sense?
Cheers,
John
