http://mailman.ecs.soton.ac.uk/mailman/listinfo/eprints-tech *** EPrints community wiki - http://wiki.eprints.org/ I have been looking at the apache error log and trying to eliminate errors before making Eprints 3 live here, and have noticed the same error message recurring whenever the top-level browse view is displayed: ------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------- EPrints System Error ---------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------ view with ID '' is not available. ------------------------------------------------------------------ EPrints System Error inducing stack dump at /opt/eprints3/perl_lib/EPrints.pm line 91 EPrints::abort('view with ID \'\' is not available.') called at /opt/eprints3/perl_lib/EPrints/Update/Views.pm line 104 ... The system keeps on working but the view menus can be slow to display. I would be interested to know whether other sites have the same error in the error.log file or whether it is specific to our implementation. (I'm also keen to know the cause and remedy). It is only the top-level browse menu (Subject, Year etc) that generates the error message. We are running Eprints 3.1.1.
