The Ghent University mandate is an "Immediate Deposit and Optional Access" mandate(IDOA). Deposit is mandated:
- for scientific articles, books, book chapters and conference papers
- the latest upon publication
- deposit in the university’s Institutional Repository
- the author’s final accepted draft (not the publisher’s proprietary PDF)
Open Access is only required, with or without embargo, if there is no copyright restriction
