See: Post-Conference Summary of Outcome
The latest in a series of bi-annual follow-up meetings on the
implementation of the recommendations in the Berlin Declaration.
Signatories to the Berlin Declaration have already committed themselves to
take actions within their organizations, to strengthen open access.
The principal aim of this meeting is to
review the progress that institutions have so far made
in implementing these actions and to agree on the next
steps that need to be taken. The intention is to keep
the momentum and enthusiasm of the Berlin
conference held in October
2003.
Lectures on key aspects of implementation, together with reports on the steps that signatories have taken so far will form the initial part of the program. Revising the roadmap in the light of the community's experience will form the latter part.
The meeting will be hosted by
the School of Electronics and Computer Science
at the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom.
Thanks to sponsorship by JISC and the DELOS Network of Excellence on Digital Libraries, there is no charge for registering for this meeting.
